Things I’m Loving: Winter Edition

TitleThis is not a sponsored post. These are just items that I’m truly crushing on.

I’m aware of how ironic it is that a girl who lives in the Caribbean is writing anything with the title “winter edition”. One would think that I’m completely out of touch with all things cold and wintery, but it’s actually quite the opposite. Living in a hot and humid climate, I’m no longer accustomed to the dry, cold air and my system is always shocked whenever I land in North America.

I’m constantly looking for new items that will keep me warm and fuzzy while I visit my friends and family. Here are a few of the items I’m loving right now.

Things I'm Loving Winter Edition Collage

1. Hudson’s Bay Company wool mittens

I bought these when I was visiting Toronto one winter, and I absolutely love them! The Hudson’s Bay stripe is a Canadian icon, and wool mittens are so toasty! I have a hard time finding mittens or gloves that actually keep my hands warm, but these do the trick.

2. Kiehl’s midnight recovery concentrate

This is a too oily for me to use in our humid climate, but my skin just soaks it up when I travel. In fact, I use it both morning and night because my skin becomes so dry. It has a faint lavender smell, perfect for helping you relax at night time, and it really does make your skin look better overnight. And a little goes a very long way. Just a few drops is all you need. Best of all, most airports carry Kiehl’s at duty free prices, so I always stock up when I travel.

3. Sorel Joan of Arctic boot

Granted, it’s difficult for me to justify buying a pair of winter boots, but these are just too cute! I’m definitely checking these out when I’m up north. Hey, a girl has to stay warm! In fact, Bre wore these almost everyday in Colorado, and she loved them! I’m sold!

4. Ombra bath foam

I love, love, love a hot bath! Even in our climate, I take a nice long soak at least a few times a week. I’ve tried a ton of different products, but my favorite are the bath foams from Ombra. They produce a ton of bubbles, and with a wide range of scents, there’s sure to be one you’ll love. My favorite scents are juniper, eucalyptus, and citrus sage.

5. The Good Wife

I know I’m super late to this party, but I discovered The Good Wife on Netflix and I’m deeply and fully addicted. Even though I’m well aware of a major spoiler at the end of season five, I’m still loving it! With six seasons to catch up on, it’s a perfect show to binge on during those cold, snowy weekends.

What are you favorite winter items?

Have you watched The Good Wife?
