It’s Fashion Friday! Once a month we’ll highlight some of our favorite fashion finds. Whether it’s for golf, running, yoga, everyday errands, or even wishful thinking (Hermès bag anyone?), we want to share it with you.
When we first started playing golf it was for both being able to enjoy an activity to play with our husbands and to start and, hopefully, tackle a new challenge in our lives. While we’ve easily accomplished the first (so far the husbands still seem to enjoy playing with us regardless of our handicaps), the second we are still working on diligently with weekly lessons and rounds of golf.
However, we’ve discovered in our quest to perfect our swing that there are a whole slew of other benefits to playing golf. One day we will do a proper post on all the reasons women (and men) should be playing golf. Today we’re just going to focus on the one that was a bit surprising but, oh so exciting – the fashion! Heck, it’s fashion Friday and we’re always looking for a good excuse to discuss upcoming trends and attempt with our best effort and intentions to pull them off.
Thanks to Patricia at Golf Girl’s Diary, we recently learned that Pantone’s 2014 color of the year is Radiant Orchid. We’ve been away from the mainland for far too long, and almost forgot about this annual reveal! Along with Patricia’s wonderful post, we’ve noticed that this year’s winner has made it’s way all over the headlines in the past couple weeks. It’s a stunning color with deep, vibrant tones, and we’re excited to see how it will impact the fashion, health, and beauty markets this year. Just imagine the possibilities!
So, as we said, we were excited that golf could be so fashionable. If by chance you are not into golf and didn’t realize there was a runway on the fairway, just check out these fabulous ensembles.
Now, add Radiant Orchid to the mix, and you’ve created golf attire that is warm and sophisticated. Set against a gorgeous green fairway, the color is simply stated…radiant. Take a look and let us know what you think.
It’s easy to pair this shade with classic neutrals like black, navy, and white. But what we love most is that it makes little details like shoelaces, the material within a glove, or the embroidery on a hat stand out with a bit more radiance.
