Happy day-after Thanksgiving! I hope your day was filled with feasting, family, friends, and fun! Even though my Thanksgiving seems like a distant memory (it was over a month ago!), I settled in for my tradition of watching the Macy’s parade, the dog show, and some football. After a whirlwind trip to LA, followed by an indulgent birthday party to celebrate my big 4-0, it was nice to have a day to relax and enjoy the start of my favorite time of year.
I’m so excited for our Friendsgiving next week. We’ve been hosting this event in Barbados for five years, and while we were in Cayman hosted it there for two years. Sadly, we usually can’t make it home for Thanksgiving with family, so the Mr. and I created a little family abroad. We let Gwyneth stay home from school, make these cinnamon rolls, watch the parade and football, and then our friends join us for a fabulous feast. It’s fantastic!
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scare heard amid the guns below.

Does it drive you crazy to always here people say, “I can’t believe it’s [insert month] already”? But here I go…it’s November! And I have one more for you…I can’t believe the sweet little girl in this picture is 7 years old!
Is there a celebrity that you think you would be good friends with, given the chance? If you could just meet them, maybe have a coffee with them, you would click and be bff’s 4 ever? I feel like this with the lady I saw last Friday.
Lorelai, Rory, Luke, and Sookie. Come on Gilmore Girl fans, you know who you are. This week pop-up coffee shops appeared across North America celebrating the return of GG. I loved the show and was so sad when it ended. It was just so easy to watch. There were no life threatening events; no bombs, aliens or traitors to look out for; no conniving characters to bring the show down. It was a small town, feel good kind of show. I watched the whole thing while on maternity leave with Gwyneth, and am super excited for its return.
Am I the only one who is excited to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall? It’s my first proper change of season in six years and I’m loving every minute of it! While the weather was quite warm last week, this week it’s been getting a bit cooler and with Thanksgiving next weekend, it’s getting real. It’s fall y’all!
