Paleo Basics

Please note that I am not a licensed nutritionist. I am simply sharing what I’ve researched, learned, and personally experienced.  Please consult with your doctor before starting any new diet.

I started my paleo journey about 5 years ago when my kick-ass friend and CrossFit competitor, Krista, told me about it. I was looking to loose some of the baby weight from when I was pregnant with Gwyneth and thought I’d give it a try.

And crazier than that my parents, a lovely young couple with two little ones (I wasn’t born yet), moved from California where they both grew up to Washington D.C. Gasp! Crazy, right?!

On Becoming Girls Gone Sporty Ambassadors

girlsgonesporty

When we first discussed our goals for our blog we mentioned over and over again how we wanted to be advocates for women playing golf, become part of health and fitness communities that promoted active lifestyles, and share our experiences in trying to balance healthy living with the fun things in life. In striving toward these goals we were thrilled to discover many bloggers and online groups working toward similar things. Girls Gone Sporty (GGS), for example, is an online editorial magazine and social community for women dedicated to living and leading sporty lives. And because of their commitment to creating a support system for women striving to be their best selves, we knew immediately we wanted to get involved. Read More…
